Ulurudawn?

Uluru or Ayres Rock is renowned for the variation of red hues it demonstrates as the dawn rises. Similarly, Hungarian Vizslas are characterised by their dramatic red colour, so the kennel name of Ulurudawn was a natural choice.

Who is behind Ulurudawn?

Verity Griffiths lives in rural Dorset with her partner at Girt Farm. She  qualified as a vet in 1994 from Cambridge University and started out in mixed practice. As her career progressed she developed a keen interest in small animal orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. She is now the only Small Animal Partner of Southfield Veterinary Centre, a dedicated small animal practice in the beautiful town of Dorchester in Dorset.

At Girt Farm, there is plenty of space for Henna and her daughter Ochre to enjoy plenty of exercise and to develop their working skills. During the winter months Henna works extremely well putting her hunt, point and retrieving skills to use in the field. Ochre unfortunately isn't so keen on the gun but is a tremendous retriever and this skill will hopefully be developed further in future. She has however been succesful in the Show ring, obtaining a fourth place in her class on her first outing at Crufts in 2009. We also have Sika the Border Terrier who thinks she is a vizsla! We also have three cats and possibly ducks on the way! The dogs both live with us as family pets as well as being working gundogs. In our spare time we love sailing but the dogs as yet haven't been afloat!
